Aaron Powell – Chief Digital Officer at NHS Blood and Transplant
Aaron Powell joined NHS Blood and Transplant in January 2010 and, following a number of operational roles in the Organ Donation and Transplantation team, became Interim Director of ICT in November 2014. Aaron was appointed NHSBT’s first Chief Digital Officer in July 2015 to lead the development of world-class digital services and deliver a comprehensive technology transformation to support the digital agenda. Aaron joined NHSBT from the United Network for Organ Sharing, the organisation which manages the transplantation system for the United States, prior to which he held a number of programme management and software development roles in the UK and the Middle East. He was named in the 2016 CIO100 list of top CIOs in the UK.
